Hey VCP, 

   Times they are a changing.  The Rhythm Room has just raised their cover charge to 8 dollars a show.  I have been talking back and forth with management trying to come up with a fair discount for us so we still keep coming around.  They value our business and of all the groups I believe they appreciate us the most.   There was an issue of not getting a discount with the Sugar Thieves and maybe some others down the line.  We decided a half price discount across the board for all VCP at all our events would be fair.  I don't think 4 dollars is too much to ask of us for some great entertainment.  Going forward if you give the doorman the password you will only have to pay 4 dollars instead of the normal 8 dollars.  I kinda figured as did some others the free door wouldn't last for much longer. 

The club doesn't want to really have to push drinks to make money, they think it's secondary.  They really don't mind people coming and drinking water only but the band still needs to get paid and the lights need to stay on.  They are in the business to make money and bring us great entertainment. 

 

We are not the only group going forward who will have to pay half price.  Any other approved meetup group will have to do the same. 

 

I hope you're OK with this change and see why it was inevitable.  I hope to still see all of you this Friday and at the other events I am going to schedule in the next couple days.  I have been holding back on scheduling till I found out about the new cover thing.

 

Please still tip the bartenders and wait staff, they work real hard. 

 

 I will send out all password and event info tomorrow afternoon to everyone who has RSVP'D YES.
