"The History of the Catholic Mass"
Deac. Ken Clemmens will lead us through a study of the history of the Catholic mass, the continuity of religious ritual rooted in the Holy Sacrifice as ordained by Christ. From the Last Supper to the Traditional Mass ("Tridentine Mass") of today, we will discover . . .
*how the celebration of the mass developed over the centuries
*how does what we celebrate today find its roots in the life, ministry, death and resurrection of the Lord?
*what is the spiritual meaning of our celebration?
*how did Vatican II impatct Eucharistic liturgy;
*and much more.
We hope you will join us!
ABOUT US
This meetup group offers the opportunity for scripture study, faith formation, and friendship with other like minded single Catholics, who may not otherwise have Bible study available to them in their local community or church parish. We have an outstanding facilitator, who leads the group by way of study handouts, readings, and open discussion. All members of this group are of the Catholic faith, and our study of the Bible directly correlates with the beliefs, traditions, and teachings of our faith, and living that faith daily.
