Becoming separated starts a series of major changes in life. Theses unfamiliar events can trigger a lot of stress. Everything we depended on is suddenly fluid. Where will I live? How will I function as a single person? What will happen to my standard of living? Vacation? All this leads to mounds and waves of stress upon stress. Then the stress takes on a life of its own. There are plenty of platitudes built up around dealing with stress. If it doesn't kill you.. it only makes you stronger. Take a breath and count to ten. These ideas become platitudes, because they work, if you apply them. So, breathe and take one problem off your plate for a little bit. Reduce your stress and do some chunking. Reduce your big problems to smaller achievable ones, and as you solve them, the big problems become smaller and easier solved. Learn more at the meeting, this week.
