Single Parents Group based in Melbourne.

Single Parents Out and About is a small friendly and fun community for and run by single parents who want to meet and socialise with other like-minded single mums or dads and their kids.

Single Parents Out and About is all about creating child-friendly social activities to bring single parents and their children together to have fun and participate in a relaxed atmosphere. Members can organise and host meetups of their own or simply turn up and and enjoy getting "out there" with their kids whilst still enjoying the company of adults.

Members organise casual catchups through to more formal and sometimes child-free activities and events, giving us all a chance to relax, socialise and share tips, information and support.

We are also committed to making a difference for our members by offering the opportunity to participate in valuable and supportive seminars such as our Single Parents Enrichment sessions.

I am looking into a monthly meetup that is set around the challenges we face as single parents and how potentially could do it better. I am looking to get a facilitator in to run the sessions, perhaps to go for approx 2 hours, to cover topics suggested by group members.   I too would be interested. I'm in Dandenong. Maybe we could take turns watching kids that need to come in another room? I've got my boy pretty much all the time so was thinking we could set up a DVD or something for kids that need to come...just a suggestion of course :D
