What we’re about
This is the Meetup Group for the Singleaires activity section of the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club.
Pre-pandemic we had hikes every Sunday followed by social events, often hosted at members' homes. In January 2023 we are hoping to offer hikes and hopefully other events for the public once again. These will be in addition to activities only available to current members of the Sierra Singleaires.
New Sierra Club rules require day hikers to carry a medical form filled out and carried in their own backpacks. Before joining one of our hikes, hikers need to download the form here: https://www.sierraclub.org//sites/default/files/sce/loma-prieta-chapter/Local%20Outings%20Medical%20Form-6.pdf. The hike leader will verify that everyone has one.
Becoming a Member of Sierra Singleaires
Members are Sierra Club members who generally are over 50 and single, but membership is open to all who are interested in furthering conservation activities as well as participating in weekend hikes, cycling, backpacking, car camping trips, snow activities and other events. Guests are always welcome on our scheduled hikes. If you are not already a member of the Sierra Club, you can take advantage of this special membership offer.
