10/08 Update from the Organizer: Summer is almost over... The days are getting shorter and cooler. And while we will still be scheduling outdoor activities, it's time to begin scheduling more indoor activities... So keep an "eye" on the calendar.  

Hi. My name is Dave, and I am the organizer of this group. It took lomger than expected to get everything up and tunning. We have had a mix of meetups... All fun, and some very well attended. And we will continue to add more events. Please consider signing up... Or check back periodically.... I think you will find that this group is different than the others. And that you will find something in our mix of activities that will be of interest. 

And please remember, ALL members can suggest events. So if there is something that you would like to do, let me know. Odds are, other members will be interested as well.

We are a group for singles in their mid 40s to late 50s. We have been around since 1999, and we thought starting a meetup group would be a good way to broaden our membership. Our only requirements is that you are Single and have a sincere desire to have fun and socialize with other like minded singles through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Most of our activities are in the Camden (i.e. Cherry Hill) and Gloucester counties and surrounding areas. Our activities range from leisurely walks to nature hikes, outdoor concerts or relaxing on a deck or patio with live entertainment, assorted day trips (museums, South Street, Cape May, AC, etc.), dining out at restaurants selected by our members (offering new experiences and returns to our favorites), wine tasting, beer tasting, plays, dinner / comedy shows, karaoke, cosmic bowling, movies at the Ritz (Voorhees), Coffee Works, picnics, cookouts... to name a few. In addition, Summer activities include canoing / kayaking, and tubing down the Delaware.

Bowling League update: For the Bowlers out there... We also have a mixed Bowling League that is open to anyone. We usually have 3 seasons, Fall, Winter, and Spring with each lasting 12 weeks.  We bowl at the Brunswick Zone in Turnersville starting at 9:00 PM. This is an existing league from the original Singles On The Move group. We currently have 4 teams, and would like to add more. Each team consists of 3 bowlers. Skill level is not important. Our current league began on September 27th. Our next league will begin in January, and start earlier at 8:30 PM. Cost is only $9.00, which includes shoes. You can bowl all 12 weeks, or opt to bowl as a substitute. Either way you will have a fun time !!!  Note: There is no Meetup donation charged for the Bowling League.

In short we are a group of active singles that like to have fun, socialize and make new friends through a wide range if activities. We have a minimum amount of rules, and everyone can suggest an event or activity that they would like to offer to the group.

Note: Meetup charges a fee to set up and administer a meetup group. To defray this cost, a $1 donation is charged per event.
