Galina originally started this group, and Sarah and her dog, Bocci, were the previous organizers of this group until August, 2011.  I'm brand new at this (being an organizer), and I found that Sarah's description of the group was very well stated, so I refer to her description below.  I look forward to seeing you at the meetups!

For many of us our dogs are true family members and full time companions.  Our dogs help us to meet new people, motivate to get out more and sometimes even play excellent matchmakers! However, sometimes owning a dog can make things more complicated, especially when trying to meet someone… Does it sound familiar?

I am single and would like to meet people that are dog friendly folks...  We can get together for walking, restaurants, hiking, dog friendly local getaways, potlucks and poolside parties and other types of fun events - suggestions are welcome! I see myself as a facilitator of this group and need members to pitch in and plan events too.  What is guaranteed though: from the very start we will know that we already HAVE at least THREE things in common: we’re all single + have dogs + understand quite well the pros and cons that come with our loyal animal companions!

Owners of all dog breeds are welcome - (I only ask that for your consideration if your dog has any aggressive or dangerous behaviors that endanger people or dogs - no injuries please!!!)  All open minded dogless singles and single owners of other pets are welcome too!! :)
