Sit 'n Knit ~ Seattle is based on the Meetup group, "Sit n' Knit New York City".
I am a proud member of this wonderful group and they have graciously allowed me to start a sister group here on the West Coast.
Like Sit 'n Knit New York City, the goal of this social group is to bring knitters from all walks of life and skill levels together to knit, trade patterns, techniques, chatter, swap yarn, and work on group and individual projects.
IMPORTANT: While this group welcomes yarnoholics at all skill levels, we are not a class. If you have never done any knitting, spinning or crocheting, I recommend you first take a class at one of the many awesome yarn stores in our area and see if you are indeed a yarnoholic.
While there are no membership dues, donations for operating costs are accepted but not mandatory. As we grow, events will be planned for knitting excursions like Sit 'n Knit on a Ferry, Sit 'n Knit at the Movies, Sit 'n Knit at the Museum and more! Some events may require a fee to cover admission. More information will be posted as these events are announced. Kindly RSVP for all events!
Keeping Capitol Hill and the Central District in stitches since 2009!!!
