Our Unreliable Minds, with Paul Thompson

Paul will get our discussion started with a talk "Our Unreliable Minds ". Using the results of science, psychology and even his own experiences Paul will introduce the difficulties in trusting our judgements and experiences, whether religious or sceptical. How can we find solid ground to stand on when we are considering some of the most important issues of all, such as whether God exists?

Paul set up and ran one of the largest online discussion forums for Christians and sceptics in the early 2000’s. He is now a co-host of the Skepticule podcast (www.skepticule.co.uk). Do come in time to buy a drink and to meet us and Paul before the formal start at 8pm.

Note the change in venue from last time. There is unlikely to be parking outside the Salisbury Club, and the nearby Station Car park has charges. Evening parking is free in the Greys Road car park (RG9 2AA) or along Vicarage Road (RG9 1HW).
