Once upon a time I tried to use a video camera to score a cub scout Pinewood Derby race. It seemed like a good idea. Previously, the cars were chosen by human observers stationed at the end of th track picking the winning car by sight. Often times the races would have to be run multiple times because of the closeness of the races and the fact the judges couldn't be sure. So the video camera was tried.

The cars are gravity powered and come down a slope from a height of approximately 4 ft. The track is 32 feet long. At the finish line the cars are moving pretty fast but not a nearly as fast as a diving airliner. At 1/30th of a second, the individual pictures, frame by frame, were not useful. The small cars were blurred and it was still impossible to determine the winner of the race.

Why is this important? The frame by frame video analysis of a highly dynamic situation often leads to erroneous conclusions. Current video storage technologies always use compression techniques to maximize the capacity of the recording media. Compression/decompression often produces artifacts particularly when capturing highly dynamic scenes. I'd be careful anchoring a conspiracy theory solely on the evidence presented in this short video.

However, it does quite clearly show a 757 colliding with a very tall building. Show this one to the conspiracy theorists that claim that a missile was used or the ones that say that no plane was involved at all.
