10:23 Homeopathy Challenge

Skeptics, This year Phoenix Skeptics in the Pub is joining the 10:23 campaign against homeopathy, along with the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF), The Merseyside Skeptics Society, and other skeptical organizations around the world. The slogan is: "Homeopathy - There's Nothing In It". The event is on Saturday, February 5th at 10:23 am. Basically, we are going to spread the word about this quackery by "overdosing" on homeopathy "remedies."

Details:

Bring your own "remedy" or buy some there (after carefully selecting ones that don't have active ingredients--they're unregulated after all!).

I am contacting the local TV news with a press release, so hopefully one or more will cover the event.

Public parking is across University to the north.

We will be "overdosing" on the sidewalk--not on CVS property. We have to be careful not to break any laws, and I'm certainly no legal expert. We also don't want to make this about CVS being the bad guy; they are just selling what people are buying. Our job is to make it know that this stuff is garbage so that people will choose scientific medicine instead.

After the "overdose" we should reward our hard work properly with a drink, Skeptics in the Pub style!
