About Seattle Ski & Snowboard Meetup

Welcome to the Seattle Ski and Snowboard Meetup!

We encourage and support all skiing and snowboarding activities.

A successful skiing/snowboarding day requires an investment in planning a trip with other riders who you may not know before you start. A great ski day - bluebird, deep dry powder, good company - is a wonderful thing that you should prepare for and heartily consume.

Do not treat skiing time casually. Be on time and prepared. Though skill level is optional, you need to have appropriate gear and transportation to and from the mountain.

1. CARPOOLING: If you have a vehicle and are willing to offer a ride, be specific about where you are driving from and where you will go to pick up and what times you want to get up to the hill and when you want to leave. Don't be shy about asking for gas money - your ride, your rules. If you need a ride contact the people whom are offering and make arrangements to meet them. Be generous with gas and coffee money. Be on time and don't cancel at the last minute. Be responsible, Be accountable.

2. Bring all the appropriate gear/clothing/food/cash etc. for a full day on the hill and apre afterwards....AND for unplanned vehicle commuting emergencies!

3. RSVPing: If NO - We'll carve some turns for you, see you next time, If MAYBE - For planning purposes, this is considerd a NO, If YES - Please read #1 Above.

House Rules:

This is a private group. The organizer pays the monthly dues (currently $12/mo) and owns this group. We are firm believers of being positive, warm, passionate, and having second chances, which means that someone is only removed from the group for a good reason, but with exactly ONE warning.

Members may be removed at any time at the discretion of the organizers, for a variety of reasons including but not limited to:

Threatening, harassing, libelous or slanderous activities, both in public or in private communications.

Rude, obnoxious behavior towards any member of the group, especially the organizer / assistant organizers. And yes, WE decide what's rude and obnoxious.

Behavior in violation of Meetup.com's Terms of Service, both in letter and in spirit.

Please take these points seriously, as we will not tolerate BS, period. This particularly includes "stalking" and email harassment. We take this very seriously, and not only will we kick you out of the group -- in some cases we will work with Meetup.com to terminate your account and possibly assist in any legal action against you. Don't be an idiot, behave like an adult, and all will be good in the world, ok?

Membership is a privilege and not a right, so play nice and have fun on the slopes!
