Git it done on Heroku...

*Please bring your ID for admission to Target Plaza Commons.  This is a 21+ event.

Do you currently have a web app in any of the following languages - Grails, Ruby, or Node.js?  Are you tired of managing your infrastructure vs coding your app?  Then come join us to hear more about Heroku and how startups to large corporations are leveraging this platform.

We will start with a very short presentation from Target and Heroku's CTO followed by hands on sessions.  We will have experts from each of the 3 languages to show you how easy it is to use Heroku so come with your laptops and your app so you can test putting it on Heroku!  All of it for no charge and will provide some swag as well.

And of course, we will be serving free food and beers throughout the afternoon so we can keep those creative juices flowing.

Last but not least, we will plan to have some sort of hack at some point so that we can have some fun but more details to come soon...

Schedule:

12pm-1pm Lunch

1pm-1:30pm Presentation

1:30pm-4pm Hands on session

4pm-5pm  Mini Hack Game

5pm-7pm Networking

No parking at all. How could I attend this Meetup? Can someone record this Meetup with a video camera?

Just find a parking ramp/garage, the street limits are too short for this event anyway.

Figured out it's pretty easy to deploy to Heroku from cloud IDE like Nitrous.io.

"Git"? Is this a reference to the VCS or just doing an accent?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
