Kayak from Alviso Marina to the Bay, and Beyond! (if we're up to it)

Details
Arrive at the Alviso Marina in time to be ON THE WATER (LAUNCH) at 9:30am. We'll be riding a 10-foot tide swing out to the Bay, and if people are up for it, we'll either poke our noses into Guadalupe Slough, OR head up towards the "B" end of channel marker (the tide will likely be too low to visit the "20" channel marker), This is a good paddle, it's about 9 miles to the mouth of the slough and back, 14 miles to the "B" marker and back--but we won't get that far most likely, unless everybody is in a go for it mood.
Alviso Marina is a great place to paddle from. There is a low dock for kayakers, and two wash stations for cleanup afterwards. (Bring your own hose!). There are also bathrooms in the lower parking lot.
Meet in the upper parking lot where the launch ramp is. Please be on time--we can't wait or we will miss the tides. Bring a marine VHF handheld if you have one--we will be on channel 72.
You must have your own kayak, or use a drive-away rental as there are no kayaks for rent nearby. We'll be scheduling an Elkhorn Slough meetup soon, and you will be able to rent one there. We hope to raise enough funds to buy a kayak or two so that members can use that kayak when we are on Alviso Slough.
