What is your bluegrass instrument and level of experience?

I play mandolin. I started a few years and go and believe I am an intermediate player with lots of room to grow. I have a good bit of music theory under my belt, but still don't know some of the more difficult chord positions on the mandolin.

Do you play well with others? If not, wanna learn how?

I'm historically shy, but I do play well with others. I'm actually in a jug band that practices once a week and plays in public maybe once a month.

What would you like to get out of the jam and how often would you like to meet?

Parker is a little far from Golden, but I could still meet once or twice a month depending on my personal schedule.

List your favorites bluegrass songs, musicians, and groups.

Sam Bush, Mike Marshall, David Grisman, Chris Thile, and on and on.

Do you play best from chord sheets, tabs, sheet music or other?

Chord sheets and tabs. I read music a long time ago, but have forgotten how.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Joe Davis and I live in Golden, CO. I am 42 and I've played guitar since I was 15, but never really felt very good at. I tried the mandolin a few years and and love it and love bluegrass and lots of other musical styles.
