What is your bluegrass instrument and level of experience?

I will probably be playing my autoharp (intermediate level of experience) and possibly occasionally hammered dulcimer at beginner level. Possibly back-up vocals.

Do you play well with others? If not, wanna learn how?

What would you like to get out of the jam and how often would you like to meet?

I look forward to playing with like minded folks in a fun, comfortable, non-intimidating environment...with a notable absence of "rock stars"!

List your favorites bluegrass songs, musicians, and groups.

My first and most favorite bluegrass group from the Andy Griffith Show, "The Darlins", aka The Dillards...Old Timey Gospel Bluegrass...Alison Krauss, and The Infamous Stringdusters. I have no expertise here, as I love many musical styles. As I "mature" aka age, I am more drawn to dabble in the Bluegrass genre.

Do you play best from chord sheets, tabs, sheet music or other?

Sheet music, chord sheets, and by ear. No tabs for me, please! :-)

Hi! I am really looking forward to joining this group! I play intermediate level autoharp and beginner hammered dulcimer, as well as other non-bluegrass instruments.

What Jeanne is saying about this Meetup Group

I was nervous about attending to be honest. I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was warm, friendly, and the atmosphere was really comfortable. It was great to walk in as strangers with instruments, and then to be actually making music together! This meetup was also very well organized, I must say. I encourage all of you who are nervous or hesitant to come....lay your worries on the doorstep, and COME! You will love it, and be warmly welcomed. Hope to meet other newbie jammers at the next meetup!
