Join us if you want to start a new career, a new project or campaign, or a new business. Sometimes the best way to start is to just get a job in the direction of your dreams, this is also a useful session if you just want to find a good job fast.
Join us any Monday afternoon when your week has gotten off to a slow start or when you've have a bright idea and would like a boost as you head in a new direction.
Today's session will be personally led by John Wren, founder & CEO of the Small Business Chamber of Commerce. He has decades of experience with startups and people starting new careers. He started holding what we now call IDEA Cafe Startup Workshops in Denver nearly 20 years ago, 5280 Magazine says Wren's workshops have "infused Denver with an entrepreneurial spirit."
Wren has now formed the Small Business Chamber to help startups across Colorado and beyond. There is a lot of information about him online, websites, his book on Amazon, Facebook, Linked In, Branch Out, etc etc. Just Google John Wren, also Google "How to Start a Franklin Circle," about how to start a peer advisory group with your friends, which is highly recommended if you aren't part of such a group yet.
It's not required, but you are encouraged to read the book Just Start, and even better to take the online Just Start class, see details at http://Just-Start.com
If you want to start an IDEA Cafe where you live in cooperation with your local chamber of commerce or other group, our Small Business Chamber of Commerce founder & CEO John Wren is available to work with you as it gets started. Send him an email at [masked], but first please join us here online.
You'll be given a phone number and access code when you friend John S Wren on Facebook and then visit the Facebook Group he will include you in, and you'll also be able to see who else is in the group and their Facebook page.
We need volunteers to lead new startup workshops and peer advisory groups in cooperation with local chambers. Also speakers who are willing to share their startup experience at meetings. We plan on forming a board of directors and becoming a 501C3 corporation, please let John Wren know if you'd be willing to serve on the board or help in any other way. Also contact Wren with any complaints, suggestions, or questions about what we are doing and what are the current plans for the future. Contact John Wren at [masked]begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [masked] end_of_the_skype_highlighting, 960 Grant St. #727, Denver, CO 80203, [masked]. Thanks!
