SoCal Hikers and Peakbaggers

Welcome to the SoCal Hikers and Peakbaggers Group. We are a group of people who enjoy sharing our love of hiking, backpacking, and scrambling to the tops of mountains to enjoy the view. Check the calendar for upcoming hikes.

Important Notice: Please try to sign up for hikes that you are prepared for and do not show up for hikes unless you are signed up for the hike (no hike crashing please). For strenuous hikes, there is often a need to screen potential participants. Screening is a tool to help ensure that all participants are of similar ability and that they know what to expect on the hike. If you are new to the group, it's probably best to sign up for a moderate or beginner's hike for your first hike.

The Organizer and Assistant Organizers in this group are not professional leaders, guides, or mountaineers. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for a trip/meetup is responsible for his or her own safety. By signing up for a hike, or any other event organized by this group, you are acknowledging you are aware of the risks, dangers and hazards associated with the activity and freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards, and further agree to release and discharge the Organizer and Assistant Organizers of the SoCal Hikers and Peakbaggers Meetup Group from and against any and all liability arising from your participation in the group activities.
