The github repo is at: https://github.com/hyperlight/hhd

That's just the web component though. We'll have to create separate projects for the Max/MSP part and another project for the spotify streaming client.

The code is rough, we wrote it in a weekend ;)

    Message me offline with questions.

It was super cool event. I saw him online doing Node.js presentation. Wanted to hear form creator face to face and this was it. Thanks to Ankur DJ and Scopely team.

Top notch! Ryan is a great speaker and is very entertaining. The technology is very interesting and I'm proud to be able to watch it grow. Scopely threw an amazing event, per usual.

This was my first Meetup and it went really well.

Traffic was terrible, parking a bear, and hardly any place to sit, but it was worth it! Ryan's "biography" of Node.js along with his nomadic personal and professional travel log was quite interesting. Who would have thought the path to this technological breakthrough started in a moldy crash pad in Chile?

Thanks to Scopely for hosting and providing pizza and drinks!

Great to see so much interest in NodeJS. Having gone to a number of conferences and meetups before it was refreshing to hear a bit of history from the source about how Node got started. Loved talking to people afterwards - thanks to the hosters for providing food, drinks and a venue.

Much thanks to Scopely for hosting the last event. For those who couldn't make it to the meetup, will there be a video online?

    December 2, 2011

Ryan gave a talk on the background of how Node came to be which was great.

learned that modern day explorer Ryan Dahl created Node in pursuit of a 'faster' web server: the need for speed.

I registered for this event and got the email with out issue but won't be able to make it tonight. If someone wants my spot it's up for grabs.

Ankur, I've been following along for a while and filled the form out a couple days ago or whenever I was prompted to do so. The only emails I've gotten since are from this group and more asking me to fill out the form again. I could have missed it in all these emails I keep getting. I don't know.

Ankur. I sill don't have the new address. I really want to attend and RSVPd almost a month ago. Please help.

I offered to record but have not heard any reply. Maybe they have someone already lined up?

    Occupy Node.js ?
I only hope there is a video recording and organizers post the video link as I won't be attending.

i filled out the form yesterday and today again.. but never did receive location detail.

    December 1, 2011

  • Nicolas

I registered and received the location but I don't get why you guys had to setup this meetup like that, why not share the location to every body directly on this page? Normally I look at the location first to see if I can make it on time... If you wanted to force us to sign up to your link, you could have done with another incentive... hope the next meetup will be better organized :)

Viktor, no change, just updated the page with more info on how to get the location and MeetUp sends an email out to everyone. Sorry for the confusion.

Jeff, fill out this form and the location will be emailed to you: http://socalnodejs.wufoo.com/forms/socal-nodejs-meetup-dec-1st-featuring-ryan-dahl/

For those having trouble with location, the link is in the posting (above). RSVP first here on meetup and then go to this link to get email about location. http://socalnodejs.wufoo.com/forms/socal-nodejs-meetup-dec-1st-featuring-ryan-dahl/. After registering above, the email comes from Ankur Bulsara <[masked]> so filter your inbox. Hope this helps confusion as it is today and not much mentioned - William Estrada (Orange County PHP)

Uhm, I'd love to show up tonight but still have no idea where it is even after registering and a torrent of emails in my inbox.

    December 1, 2011

    Ankur,
I received and email saying that location was changed. The meetup does not allow me to register second time to retrive the new location. Is the location still the same, or have it changed ? Is it still in 90036 area?
    Thanks.

Idk if anyone else is in or around downtown as well, but it'd be amazing if this was at the Cleantech Incubator. A majority of the tech meetups are west, and it'd be nice to do one on this side of LA :) Plus, lots of free parking...
