Hike-A-Thon

Please join Creating Partnerships for Progress (CPP) in our first annual Hike-a-thon, Hike for Health. CPP is proud to be involved with Raise & Support the Poor, a Cambodian non-profit organization working to better the lives of families in rural Cambodia. In Kampong Speu Province, the community lacks even the most basic healthcare, no doctors, no nurses, no community clinic or place for healthcare. We want to change that, and with your help, we will. Your participation in CPP’s 1st annual Hike-A-thon will help raise the funds to build a primary health clinic in this rural community. Spend a morning hiking beautiful Peters Canyon Regional Park, a little slice of peace and tranquility in the City of Orange. The park encompasses 354 acres of coastal sage scrub, riparian, freshwater marsh and grassland habitats. The 55-acre Upper Peters Canyon Reservoir is home to many resident and migrating waterfowl. Willows, sycamores and black cottonwoods line the lake and Peters Canyon Creek which meanders through the canyon.

Thanks, Angela. This is right around the time of another charity walk, and I will have tapped out friends and family good will for that. I'd love to participate, but the minimum amount is too much for me right now. Good luck! It sounds like a wonderful day and cause.

Hi Andrea - Yes, the minimum amount to participate is $125, $25 to register and then collecting up $100 in pledges from friends, family, etc. When you register, you don't need to pay the $125, just the $25, the monies you collect as pledges can be paid at any time, including the day of the event.

Does one have to pledge to participate? That is, is it a minimum of $125 to participate ($25 registration + $100 minimum pledge) or can one register only? The link doesn't really clarify.

RSVP'ing here is great, but to register for the hike-a-thon, please go to www.creatingpartnerships.org to register and get pledge forms. Thanks!
