Your answers will be visible to everyone. This is like a resume to tell the other members what you are looking for. This is NOT a "swingers" group so please reflect this in your answer. What does the word polyamory mean to you?

I use the word "polyamory" in reference to multiple-love, and more specifically to participation in related forms of romantic relationship. Due to my wish that members of our society would keep an open mind and welcome education about things that may bring greater love, happiness and security, I am frustrated by ignorant references tying "polyamory" to "swinging". The motivations are entirely different in my mind - though I can see how others who are intimidated or who've not explored their subjective experience, or had the opportunity to explore relationships with open-minded individuals, may be compelled to make such an association. A few years ago I finally matured to find love experience that completely trumped the short-term high of sexual intercourse. While I believe sex is an important topic for polyamory, I believe it is only one aspect of a dynamic experience relationship. I am looking to meet and learn with like-minded and curious individuals about polyamory.

Why did you join the polyamory meetup group?

I am looking to meet and learn with like-minded and curious individuals about polyamory. I imagine my education and experience would be most accelerated and comfortable with like-minded and experienced individuals.

Are you currently involved in a poly relationship? How many individuals in your "tribe"?

I am not currently involved in any relationship by any traditional definition of the word. I am working on my relationship with myself and continue to connect with my closest loves and welcome opportunities to meet new people every dya.

Do you have any children? What are their ages? (helps in planning activities)

I do not have children.

What would your ideal poly relationship look like?

My ideal poly relationship would hinge most importantly upon honesty and communication, facilitating understanding from which we would make dynamic un-enmeshed choices and grow accordingly in a safe, loving community. I have had poly relationships via close male friends with girlfriends and vice versa but have otherwise not been interested in seeking male participants and am not bisexual. I have not yet had the privilege of exploring polyamory with a polyamorous community so have had limited and somewhat skewed experiences with partner sharing. I've had very honest relationships but would like more open-minded, conscious relationships.

Hi! I'm an open-minded, respectful explorer of conscious and alternative relationship. I'd love to meet members of the group, learn and share ideas about what works and doesn't work for building positive relationships and exploring our boundaries.
