How to find us: ENTER AT MAGNOLIA & PCH>>>ACROSS FROM POWER PLANTS...ONE GREEN EZ UP!! A medium sized MEETUP SIGN! ****Dont get discourage if you dont see us right away..just look..we will have chairs set up w/ firewood in pit, around pit, an EZ up right behind that, ice chest and a BBQ..(small). We should also have a SMALL meetup sign

Our volleyball group will be meeting at Hungington Beach this saturday for some great games of vball, BBQ'ing/ Swimming, Games and an awesome Bonfire, whoohoo~! Lets do this thingy~! http://img1.meetupstatic.com/img/clear.gif

WHERE:
We are trying for same spot as last year because its right next to courts. Life guard tower 10 & 11,either one.... to the LEFT of asphfalt driveway that leads toward beach. We will be...South/east of restrooms. (There are two outskirting both towers...
WE WILL HAVE A DARK GREEN easy up~! (Always a good idea to...) Look at pics of others attending to know who to look for ; )

If you get to the beach between 12noon-1pm you will not have to deal with parking issues.
If you come between 1pm-4pm the Magnolia St Lot may be full/closed, so you can try entering at Brookhurst St and coming back up to the Magnolia lot. Or there is street parking on Magnolia or Newland St (but it is a hike). Please arrive early to avoid all these issues. If you come after 4pm, the parking lot will likely be open again.
Location/Directions:
This is the HUNTINGTON STATE BEACH and the beach parking entrance is at Magnolia/PCH. After paying, make a quick right (almost a U-turn) drive to near the end of the parking lot. You'll see 6 volleyball courts (in the sand to your left) near the restrooms (directly in front of you), lifeguard tower 11 nearby and the powerplant directly to your right across PCH. If you don't see the power plant across PCH you're in the wrong spot. Look for our canopies with the Meetup banner .(( ( OUR # 1 SPOT HOWEVER IS TOWER 10...ONE VBALL COURT..DIRECTLY KIDDY CORNER TO THE RESTROOMS...WE WILL HAVE A PIT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THAT...JUST LOOK.....2ND CHOICE IS NEAR ALL THE REST OF THE VBALL COURTS TOWER 11...(ONCE AGAIN...JUST LOOK CAREFULLY)))).

1. For people bringing tables, canopies, BBQ equipment etc, please drop off and set up your stuff at the beach in the morning. That way, everything will be set up by the start time- 12 NOON, and we can keep everything better organized. Even if you cannot stay, please at least drop off your supplies in the morning so that I and others can set everything up. I cannot be shuttling equipment from the street to the beach all day if the parking lot closes.
2. Please come early and help set up in the morning
3. Please help clean up trash throughout the day so that we will not be left cleaning up mounds of trash at 10pm.
4. Please help out with the cooking at the grill
5. For the trash that is there at the end of the night, please help to clean it up starting around 9pm.
6. Please help at the end of the night (starting around 8:30pm) break down equipment and take back to the cars, that way everyone gets out on time.
7. *When you RSVP for this event please indicate how you can help with the above needs to make this a successful event

*Yourself ; 0 any games you have to share and or play
*BBQ MEAT... of some sort,(enough for self, & more if you'd like to share).
*ALSO, side dishes are always a nice thing ; )......fruit/snacks/dips/chips/smores/beans/ salads...really anything you'd like. (Sides are not a necessity however, BUT whatever your eating for your main is...).
*DRINKS OF PLENTY...GETS HOT PLAYING VBALL ALL DAY!
*FIREWOOD...(IF YOU HAVE IT...IF NOT NO WORRIES)!!!
*WARM CLOTHES FOR LATER...gets pretty cold ; 0

We also usually bring enough food to BBQ twice..once b4 we play @ again after..thats how we make it through the entire day till bonfire ; ) You can do the same ; )
