You Can Make Your Own Diamonds...out of Tequila! (Provided you have a furnace that can heat things up to 800 degrees Centigrade)

Dear SoCal Science Cafe members,

Did you hear the one about the scientists who turned ordinary tequila into -- get this -- pure diamonds? It's true! Start stocking up on tequila now and say 'goodbye' to those flim flam artists at your local jeweler lol...

(Only catch is you have to heat the tequila up in a special furnace much hotter than 1400 degrees Fahrenheit...about one-fourth as hot as the surface of the Sun!) Whew.
