If you are a screenwriter looking for some peer review, this group is for you! We will be meeting twice a month to pitch ideas, workshop pages and offer support. Once you join, make sure to check out the polls section of the page to offer your input on meeting locations, days and times, so I can better plan our meetups.

What you need to know before you join:

1. I am NOT a professional screenwriter. I have a bachelor's degree in communication, and I completed the professional screenwriting program at UC Irvine Extension. I am starting my second feature script, and I am simply looking for fellow writers who also need feedback as they write. Writers in this group should already know the basics of screenwriting. Members will ideally have had prior experience workshopping pages and offering constructive criticism. I am striving to create a "professional" atmosphere, so even though we may all different writing styles we respect each other when offering criticism.

2. Membership dues are $5.00 annually, payable by your second or third meetup. Meetup charges me for the use of the site, but I only want to pass this fee on to active members, so try us out, and if you don’t find the group helpful then don’t pay anything.

3. I recommend that anyone who participates in offering constructive criticism in the workshop read the following books: How to Write a Screenplay (2nd edition) by Mark Evan Schwartz, The Complete Book of Scriptwriting by J. Michael Straczynski and Save the Cat by Blake Snyder
