Crystal Cove Paddle (the Cottages area) plus Rolling Practice

We will meet at at the Coast Guard Beach in Newport Harbor for a launch at 8:00 for a paddle to Crystal Cove (the Cottages area) and back. Please get there early enough to be on the water at 8:00. This is a 5 to 6 mile round trip ocean paddle. When we arrive back in the Harbor we will stop at China Cove and spend an hour or so practicing rolling skills and what ever comes to mind. We try to start our return to the Coast Guard Beach by 11:00 so that the group can be at "Fireside" (the Bluff's Shopping Center) for lunch by 12:00 to discuss the days events. There are no kayak rentals and you must have a kayak that will keep up with a moderately paced paddle. We help each other during the paddle and practice session but none of us are there in the role of instructor or guide and all who attend are all responsible for their own safety.
