Southampton Bike Kitchen

Details
My Journey Southampton and SoMakeIt, a non-profit Makerspace, will be introducing Southamptons first 'Bike Kitchen' this month.
Southampton Bike Kitchenis an open DIY workshop where you can work on your own bike, and learn the skills necessary to fix it in the future, rather than pay for someone else to do it for you.
We will be running drop in sessions every Monday from 7pm-9.30pm, where you can come by anytime and work on whatever you like.
There will always be a mechanic on hand to answer your questions, provide you will help and advice, along with a range of tools and stands for you to use.
Here’s how it works: You fix your bike yourself, with help from volunteers. You can use the space, equipment, and on-hand instructional assistance for free.
It will offer a low-cost way for Southampton cyclists to keep their bikes in good condition.
Southampton Biciycle Kitchen will open every Monday from 7pm - 9.30pm starting on the 8 February for drop-in bike maintenance sessions.
