Purpose

To provide a regular forum where we can share ideas, experiences and models for helping organisations become more social. And, in doing so, create new connections that lead to community. This will be the first meetup supported by Kongress Media and Agile Elephant that incorporates #e20s and London Wiki Wednesdays.

Really important

This is not a social media marketing event. We will not be talking about Facebook, Twitter etc. This is about organisational culture, structure, social collaboration and internal technologies and approaches - and yes, even business economics and RoI. We'll be discussing social business, open business, enterprise 2.0 and the future of the workplace.

Participants

We welcome people from a diverse range of backgrounds: practitioners, academics, consultants, researchers, do-ers from businesses and organisations of any size.

Principles

  1. Open, because we each have a piece of the answer
  2. Direction of the group driven by consensus
  3. Diversity FTW
  4. You create the value
  5. No spam

Goals

Learning, connecting, making change happen.

Plan

  • 18:00 - Coffee and networking
  • 18:30 - One main 20 minute presentation
  • Many 5 minute lightening talks, with up to 5 minutes of questions from the audience - time keeping will be strict - anyone can sign up to speak by adding a comment - provided it is related to the social business topic it can be anything you like - sales pitches are allowed, but we'll try and limit those to only a couple each session - agenda sequence will be first come first served from the comments below
  • Unconference panel discussion - 5 volunteers from the audience will form a panel for Q&A
  • Pizza, beer and wine from 19:00
  • Ends at 21:00 or when we all run out of steam
