It's Danielle's birthday, and she's going to a concert! Also dinner before and celebrating afterward, all downtown. If you want to go to the concert, tickets are $33.63 each, including all fees, and Danielle will purchase the block of tickets so we can sit together. Unlike most Social Butterflies events, this one is NOT a women-only event, so feel free to bring friends/significant others who are male.
Dinner: 6pm at Ceili's (across the street from the Orpheum)
Concert: 8pm at the Orpehum (meet up at 7:45 outside)
Cocktails: around 10pm (whenever the concert ends) at UVA Wine Bar (kitty-corner from the Orpheum, and Gold Winner, 2010 Best Bar/Lounge, "Vancouver" Magazine Restaurant Awards) - this may either start an evening on the town or wrap it up nicely, depending on what we feel like at that point
If you JUST want to come for a cocktail with us after the show, my cell # is[masked] so we can coordinate. So there will be plenty of opportunity to celebrate even if you don't want to do the actual concert!
For ticket purchase, send your pre-payment to Danielle via PayPal, or email her to make arrangements for payment in person. Danielle will purchase the block of tickets on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 1st, so your payment must be made before then. The ticket price is for the least expensive seats (upper balcony) but you can hear just as well from up there. If you are a student, email Danielle and make sure she orders the cheaper student ticket for you. ***********************
No Vancouver Christmas is complete without a grand Orpheum performance of Handel's Messiah, surely the most popular work of all time. This year the Bach Choir's Messiah is conducted by Leslie Dala with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and superb Canadian soloists Allison Angelo, soprano; Lauren Segal, mezzo; Colin Ainsworth, tenor, and Alexander Dobson, bass.
