Social Media and Social Networking – What It Does for You
Did you know how many millions of users are on the Internet? How many of those are your competitors? How many of those are your potential clients? And are you losing those potential clients to your competitors for no other reason than those competitors have an online presence and you don’t?
The yellow pages of the 90s are collecting dust. People are turning to the Internet more and more frequently for everything they need. I personally couldn’t tell you the last time I touched a real phone book. I Google everything, or I find things on my various social networks. I get referrals for things via my social networks. And trust me, I’m far from the only one, and the numbers are quickly growing.
We’ve gone back to the basics with word-of-mouth marketing, the oldest and most powerful marketing method. Social mediums give us the opportunity to share with many more people than we could have in our offline social circles or the local coffee shop. People love to talk about what they’re doing, the great deal they just got on something, their new house, the service they received (whether good or bad) from a company and more. It’s human nature, and now we can go worldwide.
Consumers have a voice, and they’re using it. The question is do YOU have a voice? Are you connected? Is your ear to the ground? Are you opening channels of engagement to people? Are you letting people know you’re out there and boosting yourself in the search engines to be found when someone Googles your service?
The Average age of Realtors and Brokers in this Country is around 50-52. Among the nearly 2.4 million households that bought a home for the first time, the average age of the householder was only 33 years old. Almost two-thirds of these householders were under age 35 while less than 5 percent of these householders were over age 55 ( National Association of Homebuilders 2008).
There is a HUGE generation gap amont First Time Buyers and Old School Agents. They can not and are not relating to the majority of their clients. Let us help you bridge that gap.
There is a disconnect between where buyers get their information and how the real estate industry spends their advertising dollars. Realtors are responsible to know when, where and how to advertise a property, let us help you step into the future.
