Come join us for the next upcoming CicLAvia open streets event, just right around the corner from us! This is the first ever CicLAvia to take place in the Lynwood, South Gate, Huntington Park area, which is super close to Long Beach, right in our neighboring cities!

If you've never attended a CicLAvia, they are tons of fun! Streets are completely closed off to vehicle traffic, just for cyclists! The route this time runs approximately 10 miles!

CicLAvia Distance: 10 miles
LB Pre-Meet to the Metro Station: 2 miles
Riding Pace: Casual (All bikes welcome)

GENERAL ITINERARY:

We will be pre-meeting the morning of CicLAvia at the shop and riding to the Metro station at Willow/Long Beach Blvd. From there it is a 15-20 minute Metro ride to the 103rd/Watts Tower Metro stop, which is the starting point for the West part of the route. Once there, we can meet up with those meeting us at the CicLAvia event at the Burger King on 103rd st, then explore the CicLAvia route, grab some lunch, and head back!

LONG BEACH AREA PRE-MEET DETAILS:

Date: Sunday, May 15, 2016
Time: 7:30 AM (Leave promptly at 7:50 AM)

From here we will be heading to the Willow/Long Beach Blvd Metro station and taking that up to the 103rd/Watts Towers stop (15-20 min metro ride)

CICLAVIA PRE-MEET DETAILS: (If you want to meet us there!)

Time: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM (Start the CicLAvia route at 9:00 AM)

METRO DETAILS:

Metro is approximately $5-6 for an all-day pass. If you don't already have a Metro card, the card is somewhere between $1-2 and is reloadable for future use.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Bicycle
  • Helmet (highly suggested)
  • Water
  • Small Lock
  • Spare Innertube (optional, highly suggested)
  • Metro Card (or buy it at the Metro stop)
  • Money (for Metro fare and lunch)
  • ID
