This coming Monday, Feb 1st, Russ Osborn will be speaking to us about some theories behind the 9/11 attack. Russ is the organizer for the Meetup Group Louisville 9/11 Truth
. The reason that I think this discussion has value to our group is that it will let us stretch our critical thinking skills. It's fertile ground for philosophical questions about how we decide what to believe. In past discussions, we've talked about people's habits to take facts at face value and how pre-conceived notions or beliefs may prevent people from thinking objectively about evidence. Russ represents a very large group of people who have dealt with these issues of belief for almost a decade.
Russ recommends that we take a look at some sites that might help us better prepare for the discussion: http://www.911blogger.com/node/20013 http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=10145

In the interests of "academic integrity", I will say that I believe that 9/11 was indeed a terrorist act against the U.S. perpetrated by al qaeda.
