Cambridge Meetup - James Thomas 'You're Having a Laugh'

Details
It's the 8th of the month :) Time to meet for a drink and talk about testing!
James Thomas (http://qahiccupps.blogspot.co.uk/) from Linguamatics (http://www.linguamatics.com/) will talk about finding ways to stay loose and ready for the occasions when he, as test manager, gets the chance to test. We'll follow up his short talk discussing and sharing ideas on what things others "just do" that they feel helps them.

James Thomas: 'You're Having a Laugh'
"I'll describe one activity based on joking that I think helps me to exercise my testing muscles when I'm not testing. How? Well, the punchline for a joke could be a violation of some expectation, the exposure of some ambiguity, an observation that no one else has made, or just making a surprising connection. Jokes can make you think and then laugh.
Doing this, I've found analogies between joking and concepts from testing such as oracles, heuristics, factoring, stopping strategies, bug advocacy and the possibility that a bug, today, in this context might not be one tomorrow or in another."
