This is for people who want to develop and build devices that use the sun's energy, for home use. Examples would be electricity generation, hot water, solar cookers, & solar powered water pumps.
The name comes from "The Lunar Society", which met in Birmingham, England, UK, from 1765 to 1809. The Lunar Society played a major role in the industrial revolution. James Watt, the inventor of the steam engine, was a member. We are looking for competent people who like to build things or do research or design.
We have a somewhat unusual policy about scheduling events and meetings. Any member can schedule any type of event at any place & time. In fact, all active members are assistant organizers.
