We get together to sing and play acoustic instruments in an informal setting in each other's homes. We bring bring a snack or a dish, some beer and wine, and merriment. We welcome people at intermediate levels of ability. Singers, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, bass, flute players, etc. all welcome. If you play and instrument and/or like to raise your voice in song, please join!

The monthly acoustic music jam is a circle where singers and musicians are most welcome.  We play mostly cover songs, but the occasional original is welcomed as well.  We cover of a variety of genres - Americana, singer/songwriter, blues, gospel, traditional country, rock 'n roll, early jazz, even the occasional show tune!  Each person brings two or three songs to share, a snack or a beverage, and $3.00 for the kitty to defray meetup costs.  It is a lot of fun!

I am also starting a songwriter's circle.  This is for people who write their own material.  We will get together to hear each other's materials, offer support and encouragement and it asked for constructive criticism, and to to share exercises that inspire creativity and new songs.

I also sometimes host a musicians' practice group.  This is for people who play instruments, and would like to build their skills - lead playing, harmonies, etc., build a song repertoire, perfect songs - while playing with others in an informal small group setting.

I like to keep each event fairly intimate, so there is a limit of 14 people for the jams. If the meetup fills up, you're invited to join the wait list.  For people who RSVP yes, please be considerate and if you can't attend let us know 2 days in advance.  That way, others who want to come have time to RSVP and plan to attend.  I will forgive no shows with good excuse once, but not twice!

Looking forward to making music with you.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
