Freebo is a genuine folk, rock and blues icon who has over 40 years of recording and touring experience with many of the great artists of our time (Bonnie Raitt for 10 years, Crosby Stills & Nash, Maria Muldaur, John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Neil Young, and many more). A multi-award winner and finalist in numerous songwriting contests, Freebo was also recognized as the 'Best Folk Artist 2007' by the Los Angeles Music Awards. In addition, he has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Midnight Special, and in concert with the legendary Spinal Tap. His compassionate concern for the world and people around him, as evidenced both in his lyrics and his open stage banter, has helped Freebo connect deeply with listeners worldwide.We are very lucky to have him available to give us a workshop on songwriting which he calls:
"THE SONG DOCTOR"
In this interactive workshop, Freebo will have you play a verse and chorus of your song, show you what’s working in your song and what’s not working, and he will give you very helpful hints and ideas (“doctor”) on how to make your song better without changing its inherent essence. You’ll be surprised how a few “Freebo tweaks” can take your song to a whole different level! Yes, please do bring your guitar, and we’ll get in as many songs as possible!
