What instrument(s) do you use to write your music?

Acoustic guitar.

What comes easier for you - words or music?

It depends. Sometimes I start with a compelling idea for lyrics, and since I have a creative writing background (studied in college) lyrics don't pose the challenge for me that they do for some. Sometimes i start out with some guitar riffs and the words are inspired by the sound.

Do you imagine yourself or someone else performing your songs?

Definitely I would prefer to perform my own songs (vocal and guitar parts). My guitar skills are still a work in progress; I would be open to having a guitarist in a live situation until my abilities are where I want them to be.

Are you interested in collaboration or finding a songwriting partner?

I'm not sure yet, as i've only worked alone before. i'm excited to see what happens when i collaborate!

What areas of your music experience are you wanting to improve? e.g. songwriting, marketing, networking, recording, airplay, gigs, etc.

Hi, I'm Noel. I've been taking voice lessons for the last year, and I'm a self-taught guitar player. I write songs for acoustic guitar and voice, in collaboration with my boyfriend, who writes the bass lines.
