This little oWoD Mage (using Dresden Files rules) is set in and around current-day Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The assembled cabal consists of a wandering Verbena shaman/blood-mage obsessed with The Balance; a Scion of Tesla chemist/government contractor brought in to check on odd water impurities in the area; and a Central Standard Triber with both a cerebral vision of the future and a well-obscured past, who managed to track down the hiding-in-plain-sight chemist with a craigslist working.
These non-natives hunker down in their sanctum -- a Victorian two-story with a topiary hedge maze in the back -- in between their commutes through the sprawl to the Twin Cities, some 20 miles east.
In the sense of public awareness (and Technocratic pogroms), Minneapolis is Off the Beaten Path, though it's still growing and attracts a variety of sleeper and supernatural types. The most obvious threat of spiritual import has manifested as a broadening loss of empathy among the populace. They're still Minnesotans, but their nature is bending toward Bright Smiles, Cold Hearts.
Currently, there are 3 players, with possible room for a 4th (always assuming the current players approve). I would give preference to anyone who hits me with an integratable concept. We are staving off our first actual play-date for a few weeks while folks work on characters (and on comprehending my hacks to the DF magic system). But after that, we hope to do this nearly every week.
