Young Photographers Workshop - Street Photography with Peter Power

THIS WORKSHOP IS PLANNED FOR YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS. THIS WOULD BE PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE 18-25 AGE GROUP. IF YOU'RE NOT IN THIS AGE GROUP PLEASE CONSIDER SIGNING UP FOR A DIFFERENT SESSION.

This workshop is exclusively for photographers using the Sony RX1 camera.

Are you interested in street photography? Then this is the workshop for you.

We're teaming up with Peter Power who is one of the top photographers in the country. In fact Peter has been on staff at the Globe and Mail for years and before that he was at the Toronto Star. He has won all the major awards for Photojournalism including four National Newspaper Awards, and has been the Canadian Photographer of the year five times. He has covered news around the world and is helping with this workshop and the critique following the event.

This year we'll be photographing exclusively with the Sony RX1 camera. This is the perfect camera for street photography. It's small, full-frame, quiet and has an outstanding fixed 35mm f2 Zeiss lens on it.

Kensington Market is a living community of small shops, people on the street and open air markets. If you love street photography then this is ground zero in Toronto.

Since Sony is paying for this meetup, only Sony RX1 cameras can be used at this event. If you have a Sony RX1 bring it along with extra batteries and memory cards. If you don't yet have a Sony camera, then we'll have one for you to use, just let me know.

We're shooting rain or shine, so if the weather turns ugly, bring an umbrella.

This event is exclusively for those shooting with the RX1 or RX1R camera. If you don't have this camera I can bring one, you just have to let me know. If you own your own RX1, then also let me know so I can keep track of how many I have to borrow from Sony.

Attendance and "No Shows". If you can't make the event please cancel 24 hours before the start of the event. If you fail to cancel you'll be recorded as a "No Show" and if this continues, you'll be dropped from future events.
