Details

Is the 85mm really the best lens for portraits?

There's only one way to find out. Put it on a camera and take portraits.

Join Sony photographer Kate Siobhan Milligan and a couple models in the famous Graffiti Alley near Queen and Spadina.

We'll have the new e-mount 85mm F1.4 G Master lenses on hand and a couple of the new 24-70 f2.8 G Master to compare with the 85mm.

We've also partnered with Profoto to supply studio flash on location with the new B1 Profoto flash.

We'll be meeting at the coffee shop, hear some suggestions about how to take great photos, and then out the door and down the road to photograph models on the famous Rush Lane area, famous for it's graffiti.

We're shooting rain or shine, so if the weather turns ugly, bring an umbrella.

For this workshop we'll be photographing exclusively with the Sony full-frame cameras, if you already own a Sony bring it along, if you don't let me know and we'll bring one for you. This meetup is perfect for Sony cameras like the A7 system.

Attendance and "No Shows". If you can't make the event please cancel 24 hours before the start of the event. If you fail to cancel you'll be recorded as a "No Show" and if this continues, you'll be dropped from future events.
