The motivation to finally start writing. I was a voracious reader and writer when the angst was free-flowing, but have since found one reason or another to avoid returning to the craft. Perhaps he most reasonable excuse is a fear of starting, somewhere, anywhere because then I'll have begun and that's a little unnerving. One of my favorite writing books is Anne Lamott's Bird-by-Bird in which one of the chapters was entitled "Shitty First Drafts" implying that all writing has to start somewhere, no matter how artistically constipated the writer may feel. That delightful image shared, I'm looking forward to a new creative challenge with the fellowship aspect as an additional bonus.
Perhaps it's my sparkling wit, eh?
