Rock climbing

Hi friends!

Want to get started on some exercise for the new year? Join us at Planet Granite in Sunnyvale for some rock climbing fun! We're going to be bouldering, which involves climbing relatively low rocks where the top is low enough to jump down. Bouldering is a great way to hone climbing skills for both beginners and the experienced.

Time: Meet outside at 4pm and climb until 6pm. Please be here on time so that we can identify each other! Look for people holding a signs with the Meetup logo or feel free to call me (info below).

Preparation: This event is good for beginners, so no sweat if you don't have any experience. Wear workout shoes and something comfortable and suitable for indoor exercise. You will need to sign a liability waiver and present a government issued photo ID card upon entry.

Cost: The cost is $20 per person. Additional $4 if you need to rent climbing shoes (recommended).

Dinner after: After climbing, we'll have dinner together at Asteria Grill, 502 Ross Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 around 6:15pm.

Feel free to contact me by phone at (310)[masked] or by email at [masked]!

Sorry, really want to go but my knee doesn't seem to get better, I don't think I'll be able to finish even the beginner level, I might end up getting stuck at three feet from the ground...
Hope I can join next time. Have fun, guys!

though I won't be joining this particular Meetup, be advised that if you do not have climbing shoes, shoe rental is an additional $4.00. as a member of this gym and a frequent climber, I strongly encourage utilizing proper footwear, as most other shoes will leave you susceptible to slippage and other issues that lead to injury.
