About us
If you build it they will come…a South Bay network of house concert and small live music venues, and all us fans who love the up close and personal music experience. This site is for music lovers of all genres to check out what's happening on the San Francisco peninsula down to San Jose. The artist talent pool is amazing. Let's build the audience!
Never been to a house concert? You're in for a treat! Defined as "true listening environments", they are typically small gatherings in the privacy of a home or small stage. Usually 30-50 people. Occasionally, like if someone has a super cool back yard, it's easy to fit in more. Every host runs things a bit different. Typically, seating is provided. But you may be asked to bring a chair or a blanket. Typically it's BYOWhatever. But, there might be social time and/or a potluck.
Guests are asked to be very respectful of the house. Stick to the concert area, be clean and no smoking.
The artist reflects the flavor of the host, from classical to singer songwriter. Don't' worry if there are just a couple rsvp's. Most experienced hosts have cultivated a mailing list. This site is an adjunct to that and to help new house concert providers get started by establishing a shared pool of fans. The more house concert venues, the more fans, the more artists who get to share their amazing talents.
Want to become a host? It really is easy. But please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Here are a couple resources: http://www.americansongwriter.com/2014/02/songwriter-u-make-real-money-donation-based-house-concerts/ http://www.concertsinyourhome.com/CIYH_HouseConcertGuidex.pdf
PLEASE NOTE!!!! Seating is limited. You are not allowed to rsvp yes and then not show. No shows are a big deal. Attendance is taken. The reputation of this meet up will be one of dependability, as if you paid for your ticket in advance.

https://www.facebook.com/newacousticcollectiveIn 2017, The New Acoustic Collective was founded by Jason Keiser in the Bay Area of San Jose, CA.
The New Acoustic Collective features many of the top up and coming jazz, bluegrass, and classical musicians in the Bay Area combining a variety of strings to bring a modern and unique sound to the New Acoustic Music canon. The NAC continues to honor and innovate upon what The David Grisman Quintet and Tony Rice and The Tony Rice Unit did back in the late 60’s and 19070’s while writing all original instrumental music fusing bluegrass, jazz, latin, and world music styles.
Over the years, the NAC’s instrumentation and band size has varied from a trio, quintet, octet, and is now back to a quintet featuring Keiser (guitar), Elijah Chen (guitar), Trevor Gabriel (mandolin), Tim Lessler (fiddle), and Ryan Triolo (double bass).
Since being formed in 2017, The NAC has performed at IBMA’s World of Bluegrass in Raleigh NC as Official Showcase Artists, performed at The Grey Eagle in Asheville NC, as well as many venues in the Bay Area including Amado’s in San Francisco, The Back Room in Berkeley, the San Jose Jazz Summer Festival, San Mateo Art and Cultural festival and more.
The NAC has released 4 albums to date including “Buckwild” (2020), “Art of Acoustics” (2021) featuring special guest Wyatt Rice, “Amor en Ritmo” (2022) featuring special guests Thomas Cassell, Jim Kerwin of The David Grisman Quintet, Melissa Garay, and Mike Mullins. In August of 2025 the NAC released “Something New Acoustic: Live in Redwood City” featuring an octet of musicians performing live fusing jazz, bluegrass, latin and world music.
On July 24th 2026, The NAC will be releasing their 5th album “Double Course” on Adhyaropa Records featuring Thomas Cassell, Erik Jekabson, Jason Keiser, Elijah Chen, Gal Klein, and many others.Appearing at Bubb Park includes Jason Keiser (guitar), Elijah Chen (guitar), Trevor Gabriel (mandolin), Tim Lessler (fiddle) and Ryan Triolo (double bass).
