The purpose of the group is multi-layered and takes a much different approach than the traditional networking and social interactions of other clubs and networking groups:
First, to share professional and financial business experiences, thus increasing each individual's own personal business experience across a wide swath of business solutions; and then,
Secondly, to have as a member a very successful individual in his or her own field of expertise, such as a tax attorney, corporate litigation attorney, CPA (Member PCAOB), a Commercial Insurance Broker, Quickbooks Bookkeeper, etc.; and then,
Finally, to be in a position to recognize customer problems or exposures and and to bring those problems to the meeting for a discussion from the various specialists present on how to improve on the profitability or financial or operational position of the cutomer. By taking this team approach, everyone learns from the other specialists present and helps them to improve their own image with the customer by their being better able to spot vulnerable or weak positions in their customer's business resulting in their providing total solutions to the customer's business.
I believe with the three legs noted above, each individual will emerge from the group wealthier and more able to deal with various problem areas in the business community.
In addition, the business which the Group services will be much better advised and will prosper more as a result of this team approach because our strength and effectiveness will evolve from our ability to detect problems with our business customers that will require other solutions and because of our knowledge and experience passed through to us by the expertise of other members, will not only reward the other Business Service Member's involvement but will insure the future success of our current business customer and will in and of itself, produce more business referrals.
Actual networking or social gatherings is so far down the line and while beneficial, is not what this group is designed to do.
INTERACTIVE NETWORKING - Networking just for customer leads or referrals is not the objective of this group. Interactive Networking as I hereby interpret it is: Obtaining a referral but only by first engaging in the current member's presentation of his or her customer and providing a positive solution or remedy to a situation manifested in the presentation. That specialist would then be introduced to the customer either through a breakfast or lunch meeting if possible and then the newly referenced professional is on their own after the initial problem solving meeting.
