Re: [South-Pasadena-Acoustic-Musicians] New Meetup: May Jam

From: Anan

I'm new to this and have not attended anything, I just signed up last week. I'm not sure if I have to RSVP or not, I guess that's what I'm doing now.

Is there anything I need to know, any formalities? And if I understand correctly, bring something to snack on like a potluck style?

Announcing a new Meetup for South Pasadena Acoustic Musicians!

What: May Jam

When: Tuesday, May 25,[masked]:45 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Music-makers, singers, percussionists: Let's gather again to blend melodic instrumentation and harmonic singing to, well, feel good. This next location is up 'fer grabs, but if no one feels strongly in need of hosting, I will do so, once again. However, due to my small digs, I think it's best to limit the number to ten in my living room.. the "annexed room" idea for spillover peeps, splits the fun. In the summer, I can cram as many people as are willing to come over here in my backyard (should be a weekend). Until then, anyone who hollers up soon with a strong yen to host, please do so. Otherwise, I will host the next jam. Tuesday seemed to be the group's main "like night to jam", no? So, there 'tis. 'Word up' will arise as to location by the "end" of this week. O.K, for those who need specificity, say, Friday, k? Let's just make it easier that way. Oh, and don't ferget 'yer portable instrument, your lovely voices (heard some gorgeous ones last time!), your sense of fun and fabulous finger-munchies, including beverages, k? Practice up at least a couple of songs, and we'll move in the traditional song-circle style, one song per person as it goes around the room, which can avail any person (as long as they stay for a 'piece), say, three, four, whatever songs that goin' round will give 'ya! Cheers, Nora.
