Good morning, South Pasadena Musicans' Group'ers,
I just wanted to pass along info on this charming concert in the
local mountains where Jeannie Willets and John Zipperer will be
headlining, at Adams' Pack Station.
The concert itself is free, although there will be roughly a $10.00
charge for parking. (It is always in good taste, however, to throw a
few bucks in to the tip jar, even if a concert is free).
The date of the concert is August 15th, and it goes from 1:00 p.m. to
For those of you who attended the last jam at my humble abode, you
will remember Jeannie's lovely, soothing vocals... her songs are all
just wonderful. She has generously invited me to have a little spot
of time to play (I'm one of the "and friends" as coined on the Adams
Pack Station calendar); I'm having David White, who is also a member
of SPAM, accompany me on guitar and vocals.
This is pertinent to the group in the sense of supporting efforts of
members, but more than that, once again, there will be an OPEN MIC,
where you, too, can play and join in on the musical fun.
There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas for sale- I don't remember
how much, but it's nominal.
Come explore something new and fun in the form of musical
entertainment in a most lovely and relaxing atmosphere in Chantry
Flats. Click on the link I provided above for information, and please
do let me know if you're coming, too, by emailing me at my home
email, which is: [address removed]
(Please don't hit reply to this email, as it will automatically go to
all in the group. Thanks!)
Cheers, and I promise you a lovely time, hearing Jeannie and John-
I'll do my best, even though I'm still a hobbyist at best!
