Welcome! South Shore Community Gardeners

Do you live in the Tampa Bay South Shore area and are you interested in starting our first community garden in the Apollo Beach/ Ruskin area? Join our group as we begin to work together to build community and gardens!
I am beginning this meet-up to find people interested in becoming involved in the community gardening movement - the South Shore area seems like a natural place to plant herb, flower, and fruit and vegetable gardens - as it has been a farming community for some time!
As the organizer, I am looking for some people who could dedicate time to a planning committee - perhaps 5 to 7 people. If you are a planner and organizer - join me in developing the foundation plans.
If you are a prolific-gardener, sometime-gardener, wishful gardener, community-lover, fresh-food-lover or would like to be a participant in any way, join up and let me know how you would like to contribute to creating a community garden in our area.
I am in the process of forming our first meet-up, hopefully at the South Shore Library, on or about the third or fourth weekend in October (just completing some paperwork necessary to meet there). Will post more info as plans solidify.
