Magento CMS Widgets and now to create you own

We could do a meeting or partial meeting about Magneto CMS widgets and how to create custom widgets to meet you clients requirements. This could be a working meeting where everyone could bring there computer and at the end have a functioning custom Widget. Some widgets that could be sampled: 1. RSS widget for most recent posts 2. Creating a banner slider using widgets. Other suggestions welcome.

A full version of the files will be provided so Bring your computers, work along, and leave with a working version of the demonstration!

I will be using Magento Community Ver 1.5.2 but these should work on any version that supports Widgets.
