Trail Work Opportunity - AZ Trail Redington Pass

Details
April 11th - Passage 10 from Redington Pass Road
Arizona Trail Association Segment Steward Moira Alexander is hosting a work event to knock back berms, improve the tread and lots of brushing & pruning to maintain trail corridor requirements on AZT Passage 10. We will meet at 7:30 AM at the parking area for the trail head to Tanque Verde Falls. From there we'll pick up tools and carpool to the AZT on Redington Pass Rd (FR 371) . The AZT parking area is between mile marker 12 and 13. A sedan can make it to the trail slowly and carefully, though the road will be much easier traversed in a high clearance vehicle. We will not be taking the tool trailer up the pass. Please let us know if you have a high clearance vehicle, have room for extra passengers and/or a truck to transport tools. Bring gloves, hat, sun screen, etc. and protective clothing (long sleeves and pants recommended when doing trail work) snack, lunch and plenty of water. We’ll plan to work till around 1:00 PM and then hike back to the vehicles for the drive out of the pass. RSVP to Moira at
for additional details (including directions) and to let us know if you can help with driving up the pass with a high clearance vehicle and/or a truck to transport tools for the trail.
