March 2013 - Southern Colorado Drupal Meetup

March meeting. Agenda and date change! This month, we are having our meeting on Tuesday, March 5, vs. Wednesday, March 6. (Jared, if you're bringing pizza, please let the group know so we don't eat first!)

We have a new Drupal user request help in getting her first site going. (Welcome Anna!) She needs our help in two areas:

1. Drupal info:

• Incorporating a working community calendar

• Best practice in moving a site from local to online

• Knowing which files that I can safely touch in the theme

2. Setting up a Drupal environment in a Windows environment

In addition, we have a number of other topic areas:

Lately, some of our best meetings have been when someone walks in with a new site they've brought online or a problem. We didn't cover everything last month in testing and debugging. Want to hear about some advanced uses of the Devel? Selenium? saucelabs.com? Lately, we've had some interesting experiences with various hosting companies: Pantheon, Drupion, etc. And, whatever else the group brings to the table. Watch for updates. We often get volunteers step up to give what turns out to be our keynote presentation.

February meeting. Thanks to Ben Patch who demonstrated some new sites and how he created responsive, retina-display-friendly themes.

Thunder and Buttons. If you'd like a little more one-on-one time, come to Thunder and Buttons at 5:30 or so and we'll have some dinner and beer.
