Spacebrew Goes Totally MAD: Workshop

Details
Spacebrew Goes Totally MAD
We are excited to announce that we are hosting our second Spacebrew workshop and jam at the awesome Museum of Art and Design (http://www.madmuseum.org/) (MAD) in New York. This month's jam session is the second installment of our workshop series that is part of the After the Museum (http://www.madmuseum.org/exhibition/after-museum) exhibit. Just like our previous MAD session, the first 35 people to sign-up will get complimentary entrance to the museum.
Our Plan for the Day
1:00 - 1:30 introductions and quick demos. We will start the workshop with a short overview of what Spacebrew is, and why it was created, followed by a few demos of Spacebrew in action.
1:30 - 3:00 hands on workshop. After the intro we will walk through the LED Strip tutorial (http://docs.spacebrew.cc/tutorials/2012/11/27/adafruit-digital-addressable-strip), where you'll learn how to control an LED strip using Spacebrew. We will have a few Arduinos and components on hand that you can share. However, we do recommend that you bring your own laptops so that you can follow along.
Feel free to bring your own Arduino and components, the equipment list is available in the "Hardware Needed" section of the tutorial page (http://docs.spacebrew.cc/tutorials/2012/11/27/adafruit-digital-addressable-strip). You can purchase the LED strips at Adafruit, and the other components from Adafruit, Sparkfun, or Radio Shack.
3:00 - 5:00 hang out, meet people, and work on your own projects. This is the time for you to hang out, work on your own projects, or get to know other people who are interested in making stuff with Spacebrew.
Want to share a Spacebrew project? If you have a project that you want to share, send us an email and we'll give you chance to do a short presentation during this time.
